Sophie Maree Gallery and Atelier aan de Haven invited artists living and working in The Hague or in the surrounding of The Hague, to join an exhibition with a portret of our new king Willem-Alexander. It's titled: 'Leve de Koning' ('Long Live the King'). A jury of experts will chose the best portret and the winner receives an amount of 2500 euros. From the 60 artists who took part in this contest, a selection has been made for the exhibition. My work has been selected too. The portrets are been exhibited on two locations between saturday 16th of November en sunday 1st of December. Adress Sophie Maree Gallery: Hellingweg 96d, 2583 WH DEN HAAG open: vr-sa-su 12-18.00 h., Adress Atelier aan de Haven: Hellingweg 98c 2583 WH DEN HAAG.

The news from now on, will only apear here and will no longer have the form of a newsletter.So it will no longer be spread by mail.
It's nice to mention that again my work has appeared in a writing, a book this time. Woord Beeldt Uit, a book published for the occasion of the exhibition 'Tableau 2013' by HKK (ISBN: 978-90-814510-3-1).
Two pieces of mine have been part of this exhibition: 11 landscapes and 'Terra'
That's one more than last year.

The exhibition 'Artisitieke Vriendschap' was a succes. It was a beautiful, versatile and exiting exhibition. The opening was arranged by the mayor of Zoetermeer. For those who missed it, see the impression of the happening in a short video on YouTube (copy and paste):

There has been an interesting article published by the hand of Moshé Liba in Harvest of New Millennium about the exhibition and our co-operation. You can find this article in the edition of januari 2011. Both Poems and my pieces are published in this magazin. A new project called ‘Artistieke Vriendschap’ (Artistic Friendship)
is a co-operation between artists from the Haagse Kunstkring and BaZtille
Ateliers in Zoetermeer. A co-operation between artists from different disciplines
as well.
I had the chance to work together with the poet/writer/artist Moshé
Liba. His contribution is two poems. Mine is two paintings-sculptures. The
result of this co-opertaion of us and others, will be exhibited on two locations,
Den Haag and Zoetermeer.
The opening will be on the 21st of August at 16.00 h. 2010 in BaZtille Ateliers, Zoetermeer and on 22nd of August at 15.00 h. 2010 in de Haagse Kunstkring, Den Haag. The exhibition ends on September 4 in the Haagse Kunstkring and on September 5 in BaZtille.

On the 12th of september 2009 the exhibiton 'de keuze van...' (the choice of) will be opened at 17.00 h. in the gallery of the Haagse Kunstkring in Den Haag. The choice of Ton van Kints, artist, Philip Peters, art-critic and the art-collectors Jeldrik en Loek Oorthuijs is a choice of several members of the Haagse Kunstkring. Some recent works of mine together with some older ones (2005) will be exhibited until the 6th of october. It's an interesting selection of my smaller round paintings and it will become a very interesting exhibition together with the other artists!

From the 16th of Mai, gallery Vonkel has opened a new exhibition on its new adress: Assendelftstraat 16 in The Hague (Holland) (see: www.vonkel.com).
The exhibition Tableau 2009 will be held from the 27th of June until the 21st of Juli 2009. The opening is on Saturday the 27th of June at 17.00 h. I brought in two works to exhibit: Playing War (2008) and untitled (King of Pain) (2008). These paintings have been exhibited before in the hall of the office of Ernst & Young in The Hague in Februari / March 2008. Because not every-one has been able to see them there, I thought It's a good oppertunity to show them again during this exhibition at the Haagse Kunstkring.

Take Note: De opening
of the exhibition in the Haagse Kunstkring has been postponed for one week
to
saturday 2nd of augustus!!!!:
- On Saturday the12th of juli 2008 at 16.00 h. starts the exhibition 'de Jaren '00' in Galerie Vonkel aan het Anna Paulownaplein 13 in Den Haag. During this exhibition you can see the works of several artists. For more information you can have a look on the internetsite www.vonkel.nl. The works will be exhitited until Saturday the 30th of augustus 2008.
- On Saturday the 2nd of august 2008 at 17.00 h. the exhibition 'Vingeroefeningen' will be opened in the galerie of the Haagse Kunstkring aan de Denneweg 64 in Den Haag. The idea is to show several untypical works from the different artists. More information: www.haagsekunstkring.nl. The works will be exhibited until Sunday the 24th of august 2008.
